Mr. Margoles graduated Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School, Cum Laude. He has been named one of Minnesota’s “Superlawyers” and is listed in Swarthmore’s Who’s Who of Attorneys” in the United States.
Mr. Margoles is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Minnesota Bar Association, and the Hennepin County Bar Association.
Mr. Margoles has been lead attorney in many high profile cases including the “Craig’s List Murder” case. In another case, Mr. Margoles’ not guilty by reason of Mental Illness verdict in a police officer shooting was the first successful mental illness defense in an attempted murder or murder verdict in approximately two decades.
